Immerse yourself in a soul-enriching experience while you are surrounded by this phenomenal fire meets ice coalescence of nature. Iceland serves you the most wonderful destinations on your travel bucket list. The volcanic vista, the hypnotic waterfalls, mesmerising lava formations, and dramatic fjords are an absolute treat to feast one’s eyes on. The island’s much-packed beauty overflows into the south and is a hotbed for all things intriguing. The North, however, is much remote and wild, and is home to a very sparse population.
The Diamond Beach

Known for the most splendid view, the diamond beach is home to sparkly icebergs that wash ashore on the southern coast. The stunning contrast of glacial ice crystals with the black sand beach makes this spot a must-see. One can also indulge in photography of the northern lights and witness a group of seals and orcas living their lives.
Reynisfjara

A tower of piled-up basalt columns standing on the stretch of black shore serves as one of the most magnificent sights to behold. One can grab some of the Icelandic warm soups and drinks from the café after a walk on the windy beach.
Sólheimajökull Glacier

Glaciers are one of the leading attractions to look out for when you step into this icy escape. It covers almost 11 percent of the island’s landscape. Sólheimajökull has the most unusual views of all time. Unlike any of the island’s other glaciers, which naturally exude the colour blue or white, Sólheimajökull is usually spotted for its bold black volcanic streaks. The streaks tell you about the ashes from the Katla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruptions compressed into striking patterns. The scape is ideal for a glacier hike, which is suitable for all fitness levels, or even take a guided tour on the nearby path.
Jökulsárlón lagoon

This beautiful blue lake is adorned with floating glacial ice chunks caved from the Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier. It blends with the spectacular icy lagoon. You can hop on a boat tour and admire the breathtaking scenery of the icebergs. The Diamond Beach owes its beauty to the great Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon, as the ice chunks break off from the glacier and make their way to the black shores.
Skaftafell

Once a national park, now a gateway to Vatnajökull, Skaftafell is a nature reserve that covers around 14 percent of the island country’s total landmass. This majestic wilderness houses glacial rivers, beautiful waterfalls, trails, striking canyons, and more. If you are a nature lover and hiking intrigues you, then Skaftafell is the place for you.
Skógafoss Waterfall

This spectacular and serene waterfall that runs down from a 60+ metre drop is a wonder to behold. Nestled in the arms of lush greenery during the warmer months, it looks ethereal during its icy conditions. You can climb around 370 stairs up to observe this awe-inspiring view from a closer range or even admire it from below. The heavy cloud of water droplets can envelope you as you walk, and you can also spot a double rainbow on a sunny day.
