To add extra magic to its unforgettable journeys, Disney unveiled two new cruises: Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. An addition to ‘Triton Class’ ships of Disney Cruise Line, the ships have new themes with beloved Disney characters and new activities with several other attractions offering plenty to the families. Set to sail soon, the ships will take you on a voyage to new destinations! Disney Treasure—the second Triton class ship of the entertainment giant, is inspired by Walt Disney’s love for exploration. Treasure will set sail in December 2024. Here, the Disney fans will begin their magical excursion, while entering from the Grand Hall—a Aladdin-themed atrium area located in the heart of the ship evokes the magnificence of Agrabah. Treasure offers several fan-favourite experiences such as Marvel and Star Wars-inspired spaces for kids at Disney’s Oceaneer Club. A dedicated adults-only dining escapes and Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre are also some of the star attractions—to name a few.

Just like its other siblings, Treasure houses 1,256 grand staterooms and suites for the guests to retire whenever tired from fun activities on-board. Each room on the cruise strikes an inviting balance between modern design and nostalgic charm. The accommodations range from inside staterooms to concierge-level suites featuring different themes from Disney and Pixar films. You can relax in the lavish staterooms with interiors inspired by the classic Disney film The Lion King, or the Finding Nemo-themed staterooms at the front of the ship-watching ocean panoramas.

Disney Treasure is packed with brand-new entertainment for all ages. You can enjoy character encounters, Broadway-style shows and fun-filled water coasters and more. Join Moana as she sets sail across the vast ocean in the Broadway-style musical or delight in dazzling musicals such as Beauty and the Beast and Disney Seas the Adventure. Slide through Aqua Mouse––an water coaster adventure featuring immersive shows and special effects and lots of booby traps. In the Treasure Theatres, watch first-run classic Disney movies to enjoy a streak of nostalgia or spend your day in Sarabi––The Lion King inspired lounge, or Hero Zone––a game area or the pool area with your family.

Exclusively for kids, Disney Treasure has a Super Hero Academy inspired by Marvel, where they can train alongside some of their favourite super heroes, including Spider-Man, Black Panther. Inside the Fairytale Hall, young ones can create their own fantasy land or ionic characters such as Rapunzel or Elsa. Other exclusive activities for kids include Star Wars: Cargo Bay, a hang-out bar Edge, an entertainment centre Vibe and a play area Mickey & Minnie’s Captain’s Deck.

Adults brace yourselves as Disney Treasure pulls out all the stops for you with an array of magical experiences inspired from Disney Parks and films. Check out their first-of-its-kind haunted drinking lounge­­––The Haunted Mansion Parlour for ghoulish spirits. Join the Skipper Society, an exotic lounge inspired by the world-famous Jungle Cruise attraction to sip and relax. Or, navigate the blue seas in the Periscope Pub while enjoying craft brews, and the water world. Immerse yourselves in an adult-only Quiet Cove Pool or relax at their nature-inspired Senses Spa.

And that’s not the only thing to look forward to on board the Treasure. Here, the dining areas are nothing less than a fiesta! At Plaza de Coco, a Coco-themed theatrical dining experience including music and a Dia de los Muertos celebration enjoy Mexican eats. Immerse yourself in A Mighty Dining Experience with special appearances of super heroes. Or savour the taste of old Hollywood at the 1923 restaurant serving fresh California cuisine.

 

PS~The Disney Treasure will sail its inaugural voyage on December 21, 2024.  In the first season, you can book seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean departing from Port Canaveral, Florida.

 

Disney Destiny

Disney Cruise Line’s third Triton class ship, Disney Destiny is inspired by powerful tales of ‘Disney Heroes and Villains’. It celebrates the dynamic duality of fan-favourite stories from Pixar, Disney and Marvel. Disney Destiny—described as full of “legends and lore” is set to launch in 2025. It will homeport in Singapore and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point­—the new island destination in The Bahamas.

All fans aboard Disney Destiny can enjoy spaces, experiences and entertainment themed around stories like The Lion King, Hercules and One Hundred and One Dalmatians. Drawing from its sister ships: Wish and Treasure, Destiny will have plush staterooms and suites, exclusive kids play area and designated adult-only escapes.
