Putting Jaipur on the global literary map, the mainstream literature festival, JLF 2022, is back on the ground but with major changes this year. Graced by renowned authors, politicians, correspondents, sports personalities, business leaders, thinkers, and many revered names from different fraternities, Jaipur Literature Festival will commemorate the profound impact of words by creating a global platform for expressing freely and celebrating open conversations, discourses, and dialogues.
Like every major art and cultural festival in the world, Jaipur Literature Festival 2022, too, had to resort to a digital showcase in 2020. The digital festival turned out to be a blessing in disguise for every book lover could connect to their favourite author or speaker remotely. JLF came up with a number of online festival series like Words Are Bridges and Brave New World Voices of Faith, that garnered millions of viewership.
But those who suffered through FOMO on the impactful in-person debates, discussions, and conversations between the greatest thinkers and authors, as well as the heartfelt and entertaining musical performances, now, have a reason to rejoice for Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 will host its 15th edition from 28th January to 1st February 2022. BOOKINGS AND LOCATION
For the very first time, Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 will be a ticketed event. The literary festival has always been accessible to everyone without any cost but this year, due to the pandemic and overcrowding, the organizers decided to charge an amount of INR 200 from in-person attendees.
Receiving a footfall of more than 400,000 every year, the Jaipur Literature Festival has always attracted enthusiasts from all over the country as well as the world. To curb the same, not only the organizers have levied an entry charge but also, for the first time, the venue of the festival has been switched from Diggi Palace to Clarks Amer Hotel. Since its inception, JLF was resolutely hosted at the iconic Diggi Palace since it collectively added to the aura of the festival. The unique heritage touch of the location has remained with the attendees even after the festival.
The organizers have created a 5-segment range of pricing the tickets.
- There is a general early bird ticket that costs INR 200 that can get you access to all the live sessions, food courts, book store, art installations, and merchandise space.
- There is a ‘Friend of the Festival’ package costing INR 6300 that gets you exclusive benefits like access to the delegate lounge, lunch areas, a fringe event at a heritage site in Jaipur, priority access to
some of the exclusive sessions at the festival, etc. - For school students, the ticket is priced at a concession rate of INR 100.

SPEAKERS
To date, Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 has hosted about 2000 speakers who are pioneers and leaders in their respective fields. JLF 2022 is set to host about 250 speakers, writers, journalists, politicians, and cultural icons from various nationalities.

WHAT IS NEW IN THE JAIPUR LITERATURE FESTIVAL 2022?
Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 has made a comeback but with a few dramatic changes. For the first time, the literary festival has gone global by partnering with luxury eco-resorts, Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. It will be held in May 2022 from the 13th to the 22nd. The initiative is a harbinger of several award-winning authors and leaders on one global platform.
There is a major change in the location of JLF 2022. Formerly held at the Diggi Palace, the sessions and workshops will now take place at the Clarks Amer Hotel. The music performances will be held at the Diggi Palace.
