The Pinault Collection’s Art Exhibition—Eye-to-Eye
From June 14 to September 14, 2025, the Pinault Collection collaborated with the City of Rennes and Rennes Métropole to present a fascinating new art exhibition called Les Yeux dans Les Yeux (Eye-to-Eye). You’ll discover nearly 80 carefully chosen works from the Pinault Collection, each a portrait exploring the incredible diversity of human beings and their expressions. It’s a unique opportunity to see and interpret human emotions through your own eyes, making for a truly personal and thought-provoking artistic encounter. The Pinault Collection, is the legal entity that manages the extensive art collection of French billionaire François Pinault, as well as their exhibition sites and cultural partnerships.
Roland Garros Tournament
Every summer, Paris becomes the epicenter of the tennis world as it proudly hosts the Roland Garros tournament. As one of the four Grand Slam events, the French Open is a truly prestigious sporting occasion. And in 2025, it’s a monumental year – marking 100 years since the championship first welcomed international players! That same year also saw the introduction of women’s doubles matches, adding even more excitement to the competition. Since 1928, the iconic Roland Garros Stadium has been the tournament’s home, boasting 17 courts, with the largest holding up to 15,000 enthusiastic spectators. From May 19 to June 8, 2025, get ready to witness incredible athletic excellence on the legendary clay courts, as tennis enthusiasts from all over the world cheer on their favorite players.
The Tour de France
The Tour de France is back on July 5, 2025, for its 112th edition! The Grand Départ, or big start, will be in Lille, located in Northern France. What follows is an incredible 22-day journey as 176 riders from 22 elite teams tackle a grueling route that winds through the very heart of the nation. This year’s edition is extra special because it stays entirely within French borders, showcasing the country’s breathtaking landscapes, famous landmarks, and diverse regions. Riders will pass through 11 regions and 34 departments, including 8 brand new stage towns. They’ll face challenging climbs and summits in the Massif Central, the Pyrénées, the Alps, and the Jura mountains. One of the highest points – literally – will be the daunting Col de la Loze, perched at 2,304 meters between the famous ski resorts of Méribel and Courchevel. The epic journey will come to a thrilling end on July 27 with the grand finale on the iconic Champs-Élysées in Paris, where champions will be crowned.
The Pont du Gard Turns 40
Prepare to be amazed by the ancient marvel that is the Pont du Gard! This incredibly well-preserved Roman aqueduct in South-Western Occitanie is celebrating 40 years since it joined the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage list in 2025. To mark this special occasion, the Pont du Gard has a whole host of exciting activities planned. Throughout July and August, evenings will be truly magical with a spectacular sound and light show at 10:30 pm. Plus, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, you can enjoy delightful musical evenings, from dancing to the beats of DJs to charming musical wine Wednesdays.
