Elevate Your Wellbeing programme at Chiva-Som, Hua Hin is designed by women by for women’s wellness
By now, Thailand’s serene beach towns might conjure up White Lotus–adjacent images, poolside gossip, steam rising off the sea. But long before the memes, Hua Hin had quietly built its reputation as a sanctuary for the wellness-minded. And for three decades, Chiva-Som has stood at its heart: a pioneering retreat where each of the 54 rooms and villas feels like a reset button, and wellness isn’t a trend but a discipline.
Now, to mark its 30th year, Chiva-Som is launching a four-day programme designed with intention—and with women in mind. Running from August 26 to 29, 2025, Elevate Your Wellbeing is a complimentary add-on for all guests booked during that period, bringing together functional fitness, yoga, sound therapy, and frank, empowering conversations around perimenopause, menopause and the physical and emotional shifts in between.
A new kind of strength training
Leading the programme are two experts who understand transformation—physical and otherwise. Returning for her third visit, Natalie Dau, ultra-marathoner and Guinness World Record holder, brings movement that’s energising yet accessible. Her sessions focus on functional fitness for women over 40: strength-building, muscle preservation, and longevity through simple, sustainable training.
Joining her is Dawn Sim, a yoga and breathwork coach with over 20 years of experience in emotional wellbeing. Her approach is gentle blending sound baths, journaling, and mindfulness with movement, to help guests reconnect with their bodies and regulate the emotional weight that transitions often carry.
The four-day schedule alternates between guided movement and reflective rest. Morning runs and strength workshops are paired with calming yoga, intention-setting rituals, and immersive sound sessions. Breathwork, journaling, and group discussions address the unspoken sides of hormonal health—creating space for clarity, softness, and self-belief.
There’s also a panel with Chiva-Som’s in-house naturopath, Patience Sangwa, on how to approach this life stage with curiosity rather than fear—blending Western insights with Eastern modalities.
